Found Ground

A public map of presence. A quiet archive of care.

What Is Found Ground?

Found Ground is a living map of memory. Each Field Token marks a place worth remembering. Tap it with your phone, NFC or QR, to log your presence or reflect on its story. No app required. No signal needed. Just a quiet ritual of return.

Even offline, your reflection is stored. When you reconnect, it flows to the public map; layering meaning across land, trail, and time.

A Companion device is in development for deeper, screenless logging, but it’s not required, and it’s not what makes this work. You are.

The Map

Each oak-leaf icon represents a Field Token; carried, gifted, or installed. Click one to read reflections, see logs, or support the steward who cares for that land.

Who Is It For?

  • Walkers & Wanderers: Those seeking a deeper rhythm with the places they move through.
  • Stewards & Landholders: From rangers to private caretakers, logging presence and receiving support.
  • The Curious & Connected: Anyone ready to join a new culture of land-based belonging.

How It Works

  1. Tap: Use your phone to scan a Field Token (NFC or QR). Log your presence.
  2. Sync: When back in signal, your log appears on the public map, anonymously or with a written reflection.
  3. Support: Some tokens are tied to stewards. Send thanks, funds, or follow their work.

Why It Matters

Land holds memory. But memory fades if we don’t return. Found Ground helps us remember where we’ve been, and why it still matters.

This isn’t about dominating nature. It’s about participating in it. Presence is power, and presence can be remembered.
